Four Metre Velvet Skirt

A full-length, circular skirt out of the whole of four metre panne velvet, according to this heavy but cuddly. The skirt has overlength, so that it can be worn over a crinoline in spite of its heaviness, but can also be shortened easily on the upper side, so that it is not too long wearing it without hoops.

It can be worn as a short dress or over long underskirts.

Princess of Power Dress

It all started with this dress….
This dress is inspired by the great fantasy costumes of the Princess-of-Power-figures which were my favourite toys when I was a little girl (Who wants to know: they were the girls of the Masters-of-the-Universe-guys).
The dress is made out of red and black panne velvet with a black gimp for the cording at the neckline, full-length and with many high trenches in the skirt part and openings at the top part, that show much bare skin.

Welcome to my Klamottenkiste!

You simply can’t buy clothes the way you want them. At least that’s what I found out for myself one day.
That was the moment, in about 1995, where I startet to make my own fashion.
I totally ignored that I could’nt sew or knit, I just started.
Nobody told me how, I did not read any books about it or anything, I just did it.
Well, thats how the first creations looked like, but one can live and learn ;-)
Needless to say I had no sewing machine either, so I did my sewing only by hand for over a decade!
Since then there have been many changes and I have learned a lot more.
Now I like to show some of my creations on this site, right from the bumpy start up to the latest pieces. News about that can be found in my blog.
Have fun poking around in my Klamottenkiste!
