Steampunky Office Clothes

Steampunky Office Clothes
The idea behind this combination of a vest and a pencilskirt was simply to sew something suitable for daily use, even suitable for the office, that had a touch of Steampunk to it.

To do so, I decided to use brown needlecord together with two fabrics with fobwatches of slightly different coloring.

Making of …

I used a download pattern from Burda Easy Fashion (E930) for the vest and except for minor fitting changes I did not alter the pattern.

The pattern for the skirt is from Burda Style (1/2011) and also just fitted, but not changed.

Both pieces are made out of four different fabrics: the brown needlecord, the copper coloured lining fabric and the two print fabrics with fobwatch motivs in slightly different colours.

Completed: 2013

… in Action

I wore the outfit for the first time at the Steampunk Decadence fashion show that was part of the Machina Nostalgica.

Status: in my Klamottenkiste and I like to wear both pieces together or each piece seperately and I wear them often :-)
