I wanted to sew a corset and I still had pinstripe fabric. Since I didn’t need all of the fabric, I added the bolero and the Pinstripe Garrison Cap and a whole new outfit was done;-)

I used one of my favorite patterns, the M2070 “Rove” from Cosplay by McCall’s, for the bolero. This time it was the D option and since it fit perfectly as it is I left it completely unchanged. The bolero is actually exactly like on the cover of the pattern ;-)
The corset is sewn according to the Truly Victorian TV110 pattern of 1880’s Late Victorian Corset. It took me two mockups to find the right size and shape for myself, and even with that it turned out a little too small for me.
Otherwise I have to say that it is much easier to sew a corset than I expected. Finding the right fit is actually the only real challenge ;-)
Completed: bolero 2019 and corset 2020
Status: in my Klamottenkiste, but unfortunately the corset seems to have shrunk :-/
