This dress fits like a second skin at the top and has a beautiful, heavy circle skirt. It’s also a perfect tango dress, I just didn’t want to declare it exclusively as a dance dress, so it ended up in this category ;-)
I wouldn’t wear it as revealing as in the pictures here to go out dancing, but with a slip underneath it looks very classy, too!

For this crochet dress I followed the wonderful Blue Dress pattern from krinichka’s etsy shop as closely as possible (except for the color choice and the hem). The difficulty was that the crochet pattern was only available in Ukrainian. But these days you can get something like that translated quickly ;-)
I am very satisfied with the result :-)

When I look at this tailcoat, I think of some superhero or evil archenemy. It reminds me of something that a character from the Matrix movies or a Sith would wear – hence its name ;-)
The tailcoat goes well with rock outfits as well as gothic outfits, is super comfortable and fluffy on the inside. It also flatters the figure ;-)
I sewed long arm warmers to match, which of course also got a suitable name: Badass Long Gloves .

This is the second use of this beautiful pattern after the Archer Vest.
The two layers of stretch fake leather and cozy quilted jersey are processed like one layer of fabric. The resulting exposed seams are finished with satin bias tape.
The thing is closed with a stylish silver hook.

This top is the more elegant version of the tops made of cut-off tights, which I used to wear with gothic outfits, the wearing comfort is very similar.
In addition, the dark violet is a daring splash of color for such deep black, goth outfits ;-)

For this top, a pattern from the book “Colorful Crochet Lace” by Mary Jane Hall was once again my template. I crocheted the cape as in the pattern and then simply added sleeves in the same pattern. It took me a few tries to find the right places where the sleeves needed to be tightened, but the top was still ready in one day.

The first idea for this costume actually came when I was at the Anno 1900 Steampunk Convention Luxembourg in 2022 and bought one of the beautiful paper flower brooches from Fée avec Amour. The flower was actually supposed to be part of the costume, but then I sewed fabric flowers instead ;-)
The transition from the paper flower made of newspaper to the script fabric was seamless because I had had my eye on this fabric for a long time.
As the costume slowly took shape, I kept thinking about Genevieve Cogman’s Invisible Library books. Hence the name “The Secret Chapter” after book 6 of this series.
As accessories there are the Secret Chapter Wrist Warmers, the Secret Chapter Bag and of course a Secret Chapter Hat.
