Pi Project

Pi Project
The in fact very simple two-piece out of skirt and blouse becomes an extraordinary combination with the stitched-on pi, with which you can discreetly show your nerdy site ;-)

If the black and white contrasts are too strong for your taste, you can wear the pieces separately and with other colours.

Whether separately or in combination… the perfect assessory is the Pi Pendant from Sandras workshop.

Making of …

I made the pattern for the skirt myself, it is just a circular skirt with a yoke. Of cause it had to be a circular skirt, so I had the chance to use pi to calculate the circle for it ;-)
A big pi is decorating the front and I stitched the number with about 700 of its first decimal digits spiraling downward. I liked the idea of a spiral to imply that the number goes on and on even beyond the end of the skirt ;-)

The pattern for the blouse is taken unchanged from Burda Style (4/2013), I just stiched the big pi onto it and the number with its first 150 decimal digits.

Completed: 2013

Status: in my Klamottenkiste, the skirt is worn more often, the blouse is still waiting to be worn
