A fairy dress out of light violet panne velvet with knee-length corners and net sleeves.
It can be worn as a short dress or over long underskirts.

Here there was the velvet first (which I got as a present) and after that I thought of what to do with it. Just the zipper I needet to buy and the sleeves I took from an old catsuit.  Probably I wouldn’t have chosen this colour myself ;-)

The pattern for the top is from the Burda Special issue Festliche Mode E397, the skirt part I made myself.

The dress is exclusively sewn by hand.

Completed: 1997

I wore the dress with long underskirts and a corset.
